My Story

Hello there! Mindy Alberto here, I am the sole craftsman behind BOLO Handcrafted Everyday Carry and I love anything that is simple & analogue. My leather crafting journey started 3 years ago. The initial goal was to create the best minimalist wallet and messenger bag I could make for myself. With the help of YouTube Academy (video tutorials), I was able to dive into leather crafting much deeper, and as days and months went by I fell in love with it even more. I like the smell of the leather, the meditative process, and the tactile feel of creating something with my hands.

In the midst of the 2020 pandemic, leather crafting has helped me get through all of it. I spent most of my time during the lockdowns, honing my skills and upgrading my tools. From a week of making prototypes turned into months and now after over a year I’m still greatly engrossed in leather crafting.

With a few simple tools at hand, I began my story: one built on persistence, conscious design, hard work, and an outrageous amount of coffee.
