Buy it for Life
As long as the leather is serviceable, I will be happy to re-stitch your precious BOLO item.*
I believe in buying better and buying less. You shouldn't have to worry about replacing your everyday carry every few months. Instead, invest in something that will last for a long time. Here at BOLO, I perform traditional techniques and high-quality materials to create heirloom goods that will last for a long time, guaranteed.
*All BOLO Handcrafted Everyday Carry products comes in with lifetime repair and re-stitch warranty.
Materials
Quality products start with quality materials.
I only use the best locally manufactured and sourced materials in the Philippines. I primarily use full grain vegetable tanned leather which is known for its durability as well as its ability to age gracefully. I use Meisi Nanmei braided waxed polyester thread which is also known for its high quality, long-lasting color permanence, and durability.
Break-in Period
Like all long-lasting relationships, genuine leathers require a bit of a “getting to know” phase. It will be stiff on the first few days/weeks and it will then eventually fit you and your important belongings. Watch your BOLO product as it acclimates to your unique lifestyle, making it age gracefully through time and ultimately turn into something that you can truly call your own.
Leather Care
While full-grain leather is the top of its kind in terms of durability, it also needs a bit of TLC. A little bit of application of leather balm or conditioner every now and then goes a long way. I assure you that I will never give up on you as long as you take good care of it.
What is BOLO? Why BOLO?
Coincidentally, BOLO is also a shortened term for “Be On Look Out”.
Just like what our Filipino heroes raised to take control of their life and freedom I want to translate my designs as something that enables everyone to take control of their life and be free. Taking control of your life starts with the little things. It can be something that you do, something that you have, or something that you carry every day in your bags/pocket. Minimalism has proven time and time again that less is more and simplicity is the ultimate sophistication.
Handmade in the Philippines
Each piece is individually hand cut, saddle stitched by hand, and hand finished by real humans. No sewing machines because hand stitching is more durable and beautiful. When you buy from small businesses that does authentically everything by hand, you are directly supporting not only their livelihood but also their passion for the craft.
